Is there information about the arrival and departure?
Arrival: The rooms are ready at 15.00 clock at the latest. Our porters will be happy to help you carry your luggage. Contact the reception in advance.
Departure: Check-out is at 11.00. However, our guests can enjoy our hotel with the wellness area even after the check-out. It is possible to request late check-out until 17:00 at an additional cost (subject to availability).
Can I leave my luggage at the hotel?
You can leave your luggage with us after check-out and enjoy the day to the fullest. The reception team will gladly show you where our luggage room is. Our porters will be happy to help you carry your luggage. Contact the reception in advance.
How are the rooms equipped?
In your room you will find a flat-screen TV, a tea maker and a minibar. The minibar includes a small selection of soft drinks, which we offer you for free. Our rooms do not have air conditioning, but some rooms have a vent behind the curtain. All our hotel rooms have a safe. Valuables can also be stored the hotel safe at the reception.
All bathrooms are equipped with a hairdryer.
Can I order my food to my room?
We are happy to offer you a small selection of dishes as room service daily from 7am to 11pm for an additional charge of CHF 10.-. Dial 703 on your phone for the restaurant. Should all service employees be occupied, the reception desk will gladly assist you under 709.
How does the telephone work?
To call from room to room, you can enter the room number directly.
For an external line, press 0 and then type the desired telephone number. If you need to receive external calls to your rooms telephone, you can ask for the direct extension at the reception.
We are happy to set up a wake-up service over the phone. Just tell us your desired wake-up time the night before.
Is there a baby bed and a changing table in the hotel?
We are happy to provide you with a cot for your room (free). A changing table can be found on the ground floor in our handicapped accessible toilet.
Can I have my laundry cleaned at the hotel?
We are happy to take care of your clothes. A form for the laundry and ironing service can be found in your wardrobe.
Do I have a selection of pillows and duvets at the hotel?
We are happy to provide you with extra pillows and duvets or pillows with different fillings. Ask at the reception or at our housekeeping team.
Are there any adapters for the electricity outlets in the hotel?
Yes there are. Adapters for foreign power cords are available for a deposit of CHF 20.- at the reception.
Is there WIFI internet at the hotel?
Yes, the entire hotel is equipped with wireless internet. You will receive the password at the reception. You are also welcome to use the guest computer on the ground floor by the stairwell.
Where in the hotel can I smoke?
You are allowed to smoke on your balcony. Ashtrays are available accordingly. All rooms in the hotel are non-smoking.
What are the opening hours of the wellness & fitness area?
In your room you will find a spa bag with a bathrobe. Sustainably produced bathing slippers are available at our reception at wholesale price. Towels and sauna towels are in the spa area.

For massages and beauty treatments, our Beauty & SPA reception will gladly give you information.
On the day of departure, the Beauty & Spa area is also available after check-out. The next guests are happy about bathrobes and bath towels. Thank you for putting them in the hamper on departure.
All cosmetic products can also be purchased at the Beauty & Spa reception.
Access to our spa area is permitted from 14 years of age. Please note that our spa facilities and the saltwater pool are not supervised. Use at your own risk.
What are the opening hours of the restaurant?
Our dishes are refined dishes from primarily regional products. We always focus on craftsmanship. So much is done by hand. Our kitchen spoils you Monday, Wednesday & Thursday from 18.00 to 23.00 o’clock. Friday to Sunday 08.00 to 14.00 and 18.00 to 23.00. The kitchen closes at 9.30 pm.
When can I have breakfast at the hotel?
Our varied buffet is set up in the restaurant from 7.30 am to 10 am (Saturday and Sunday until 11 am). For room service, please communicate your desired breakfast and the time at the reception on the previous evening.
What do I do if there is a fire alarm?
All rooms are equipped with a fire detector. In the event of a fire, keep calm and follow the instructions of the staff and the fire department. Leave the hotel via the marked escape routes without using the lift. Stay in the room if corridors / escape routes can not be reached. Close doors and windows and show yourself at the window.
In case of an evacuation, we gather in front of the chapel opposite the main entrance to the hotel.

In the case of direct alerts of the rescue services, please also inform the reception for the organization of any transports.
Our reception team is available daily from 07.00h to 23.00h for requests and questions. At night you can reach us with the telephone number 709.
Can I give up my mail at the hotel?
You can hand in your mail at the reception. It will be picked up by the postman at 9:00 am on weekdays. Postcards and stamps are available at the reception.
Our room keys are a key card in credit card format. The room numbers are not displayed on the individual cards for security reasons.
Lost & found
We securely store found objects. If you miss something, please contact the reception.
We are happy to exchange foreign currencies with Swiss francs. We use daily exchange rates.
Are pets allowed in the hotel?
Weggis offers countless opportunities for taking a walk. You can ask the receptionist for information on walkways and hiking routes. In the canton of Lucerne, there is a leash requirement for your pet in the forests from April to July.
In our house, dogs are always welcome. At breakfast we ask you to leave the dogs in the room. If this is not possible, the management always has a free spot in the office.
Which parking options do I have?
In front of the hotel there is a limited number of parking spaces available (CHF 6.- per day). Please understand that due to the small number we can not reserve any parking spaces. Additional public parking for a fee can be found directly on the Seestrasse below the restaurant “The Grape” (2min walk). For your further journey we will gladly organize a taxi for you.
What can I experience in the surroundings of Weggis?
Hiking: Whether a walk on the lake promenade or a hike on the Rigi mountain: Strolling and hiking options are diverse in Weggis. Seasonal tips are available from our reception team. You are welcome to borrow our Nordic Walking poles for your hike for free.
You will find a tennis court on Kreuzstrasse street. You can book it at the Tourist Information on +41 (0) 41 227 18 00.
The mount Rigi ski lifts can be reached by cable car from Weggis or by cog railway from Vitznau. Families and athletes can train on the Vita Parcours in the “Herrenwald”.
Does the region offer family activities?
Weggis and Rigi Kaltbad have some nice playgrounds. Ask at the reception for the best option.
In addition, there are some beautiful public barbecue areas with open fire grills in Weggis, Vitznau and on the Rigi. We are happy inform you about their location at the reception.
The cable car Weggis runs every half hour 10 minutes after and 20 minutes before every hour.
The Vitznau cog railway runs hourly: 15 minutes after every hour.
Bus timetable, Lidobus timetable and ship timetable (SGV) can be found on our information board on the ground floor.

Where is the nearest bank / ATM located?
The next ATM of the Luzerner Kantonalbank is located opposite the boat station next to the restaurant Oliv. The ATM of Raiffeisenbank is located in the Neubühl Center Weggis. In the hotel we accept the usual credit cards.
Where can I buy groceries?
You can get food and things for daily use at the Tschumi Migrospartner in the Neubühl Center. A Volg village shop is located at Rigistrasse 9, (right next to the school court). The opening times vary according to the season, we are happy to inform you at the reception.
What is the hotel doing for the environment?
As one of the oldest hotels in the canton of Lucerne and in a privileged location in the middle of Weggis, the topic of sustainability is very important to us. If possible, we use regional food and consider regional suppliers to avoid unnecessary transport.
We use a power optimization device that regulates or reduces the power during peak times.
We separate our waste consistently (waste paper, glass, plastic, etc.). Whenever possible, we avoid waste and therefore refrain from unnecessary packaging (for example, at the breakfast buffet).
We clean your room with special fibers and cloths and use Eco Plus cleaning supplements that can be broken down quickly and easily by the environment.
Can I drink the tap water?
Our water in Weggis is of excellent drinking water quality. You are welcome to fill the water carafe in your room directly from the tap itself and enjoy fresh drinking water!
